
JOSEPH EVANS, ASSOCIATE
Joe’s efficient work ethic, dedication to service, and unflagging attention to detail are the characteristics that define his work. He has extensive experience structuring and monitoring Program-Related Investments, building financial projections, facilitating funder collaboratives and developing and delivering financial training to foundation and nonprofit staff.
Joe joined Brody • Weiser • Burns in 1999 with more than a dozen years of restaurant industry and small business management experience. He also had owned and operated two small businesses. In 2006, after two years as a Director of Human Resources at an area Community Action Agency, Joe returned to BWB as a Consultant in the Social Investing line of service which preceded the formation of Brody Social Investing.
Joe’s most recent activities include participating in the development of a new database for a large foundation to manage its program-related investment program, assisting a funder collaborative that is building a national organization to support workforce development programs and quarterly monitoring of several PRI portfolios.
Joe is an active volunteer at several nonprofit organizations and he sits on the board of directors for the New Haven Legal Assistance Association.
Joe earned a BA (Philosophy) at Southern Connecticut State University.
